This policy explains what Treasure Coasts Local Current collects and how we use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Visitors: we don't require accounts and don't ask the general public for personal information. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (for example, Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and clicks. This does not use cookies to track you across sites.
- Location: we collect location information (such as street addresses, service areas, or live GPS coordinates) from listed businesses so customers can find them on our map. For mobile vendors and food trucks, precise GPS is only shared when the owner actively taps "Use my location." The general public is never asked for their location.
- Businesses: contact details and the information you ask us to publish on your page.
How we use it
To operate and improve the directory, display business pages, pin locations to the map, and understand which listings are useful. We do not sell personal information.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare - hosting and (optionally) privacy-friendly analytics.
- OpenStreetMap - map tiles shown on map pages.
- Google Fonts - typefaces.
- Google Maps - opens only when you tap "Directions" (you leave our site).
These providers process requests under their own privacy policies.
Cookies
The site itself does not set tracking cookies and does not use localStorage to profile you.
Your choices
Truck owners can decline the location prompt on the update page and still use it (by tapping the map instead). To request removal of a business listing or correction of information, contact us.
